What’s inside

  • Before anything is shared
  • The correct order
  • Mistakes that lose accounts
  • After the handover

A transfer is not a single button. It is a short sequence of changes that must happen in the right order. Do them out of order and the account can lock, or the previous owner keeps a way back in.

Before anything is shared

  • Price, payment method and timeline are agreed in writing.
  • The buyer knows which email and phone will be attached.
  • Both sides are available at the same time — transfers go wrong when one side disappears halfway.

The correct order

  1. 1Seller disables two-factor authentication.
  2. 2Seller changes the registered email to the buyer's email and the buyer confirms it.
  3. 3Seller changes the phone number to the buyer's number and the buyer confirms it.
  4. 4Buyer changes the password.
  5. 5Buyer logs out of all other devices from the security settings.
  6. 6Buyer enables their own two-factor authentication and saves the backup codes.
  7. 7Buyer unlinks any old Facebook page, business tools or scheduling apps.
The buyer should be the last person to touch the security settings. Always.

Mistakes that lose accounts

MistakeWhat happens
Logging in from a new country immediatelyVerification challenge or temporary lock
Changing the username during handoverExtra security checks at the worst moment
Leaving old two-factor activePrevious owner keeps a recovery route
Skipping the log-out-everywhere stepOld sessions stay live for weeks

After the handover

Wait 24 hours before renaming anything, keep posting normally, and store your recovery codes somewhere offline. If a challenge appears, complete it from the same device you first logged in on.

Because Fameheld owns every account we sell, the handover is done by our own team rather than an unknown third party.

Frequently asked questions

What actually gets transferred?

The login, the registered email and phone number, and control of two-factor authentication. There is no official ownership document for a personal Instagram account, so full control of the recovery details is what matters.

Can the old owner take the account back?

Only if they still hold a recovery route. Once the email, phone and two-factor are changed to the buyer and old sessions are logged out, that path is closed.

How long does a transfer take?

At Fameheld, within 1 hour during working hours and within 24 hours in almost all other cases.
